IV Therapy
Restore. Replenish. Rejuvanate.
IV therapy offers a direct way to deliver fluids and select nutrients when oral hydration or supplementation may not be enough. At Community Roots, IV therapy is provided with thoughtful medical oversight and individualized to your health history, symptoms, and wellness goals.
IV Therapy May Be Considered For:
🌿 Hydration
Support for individuals experiencing dehydration or increased fluid needs due to illness, travel, exercise, heat exposure, or inadequate oral intake.
🌿 Recovery & Replenishment
IV fluids may be considered when the body needs additional hydration during recovery from certain illnesses, strenuous activity, or periods of decreased intake.
🌿 Nutrient Support
When clinically appropriate, select vitamins or nutrients may be incorporated into an IV treatment plan based on your individual needs and medical history.
🌿 Individualized Wellness
For patients interested in incorporating IV therapy into a broader wellness plan, we can discuss whether it is appropriate alongside nutrition, lifestyle, preventive care, and other health goals.

Before Your Infusion
All IV therapy patients undergo a brief medical assessment before treatment. Certain medical conditions, medications, pregnancy, kidney disease, heart disease, electrolyte abnormalities, allergies, or other health factors may require modification of treatment or may make IV therapy inappropriate.
IV therapy is not intended to replace appropriate medical evaluation, treatment, nutrition, hydration, or emergency care.
FAQs
-
IV therapy should never be one-size-fits-all.
Before treatment, we take time to review your medical history, current medications, health concerns, and goals to determine whether IV therapy is appropriate for you.
Depending on your individual needs, treatment may include IV hydration alone or hydration with carefully selected vitamins and nutrients.
Our focus is simple: safe, individualized care in a comfortable medical setting.
-
Medical Care Comes First
IV therapy at Community Roots is provided as a medical service—not simply as a wellness trend.
Not everyone is an appropriate candidate for IV therapy. Certain medical conditions, medications, allergies, kidney or heart conditions, pregnancy, and other factors may affect whether treatment is appropriate.
All patients are screened prior to treatment, and additional evaluation or laboratory testing may be recommended when clinically indicated.

Our IV therapy menu is designed around hydration, individualized nutrient support, and responsible medical care.

Your IV therapy visit begins with a brief clinical assessment to review your health history, current medications, symptoms, hydration needs, and wellness goals. Vital signs will be obtained, and we’ll determine whether IV therapy is appropriate for you that day.
When indicated, laboratory testing may be recommended before or as part of your treatment plan. Depending on the situation, labs may be collected in the office or completed through Quest Diagnostics.
Once your treatment plan is confirmed, an IV will be placed and your infusion will be administered while you relax in the office. Treatment time varies depending on the type and volume of infusion, but most visits can be expected to take approximately 45–90 minutes.
Throughout your infusion, you’ll be monitored for comfort and safety. Before you leave, we’ll review any aftercare recommendations and discuss whether additional treatments or follow-up may be appropriate.

Insurance coverage for IV therapy depends on the reason for treatment. IV therapy may be covered when it is medically necessary and meets your insurance plan’s criteria. However, wellness IV infusions are generally considered elective services and are not typically covered by insurance.
At Community Roots, wellness IV therapy is offered as a self-pay service. If your visit involves evaluation or treatment of a covered medical condition, those services may be billed separately according to your insurance benefits. description
